I had the privilege of photographing the 28th edition of A Tasting of Wines from Italy at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. This exclusive event, organized by the Italian Trade Commission, brought together 86 Italian winemakers and Canadian trade professionals for an immersive exploration of Italy’s diverse wine regions. Attendees engaged in walk-around tastings and insightful masterclasses, including a highlight session by Master Sommelier John Szabo. His masterclass, “Geographic Precision,” provided in-depth knowledge about Italy’s latest wine denominations, enhancing participants’ appreciation of Italian wines. My photographs captured the elegance of the venue, the excitement of discovery, and the passion shared by producers and participants alike.
