A Tasting of Wines from Italy at Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto

I had the privilege of providing professional event photography for the 28th edition of A Tasting of Wines from Italy, which was hosted at Roy Thomson Hall and organized by the Italian Trade Commission. This prestigious wine industry event brought together 86 Italian winemakers and Canadian trade professionals for an immersive exploration of Italy’s diverse wine regions. It featured walk-around tastings and expert-led masterclasses, including an outstanding session by Master Sommelier John Szabo titled “Geographic Precision,” which focused on Italy’s newest wine denominations.

 

As an experienced corporate and cultural event photographer, my role was to document the atmosphere, key moments, and brand presence throughout the event—from the elegance of the venue and the precision of the tastings to the meaningful interactions between producers and attendees. Professional event photography is essential for high-profile trade events like this, as it creates lasting visual assets for marketing, media coverage, social media, and future promotions. The images from this event tell a compelling story of expertise, craftsmanship, and connection, ensuring that the impact of the experience extends far beyond the day itself.
