At TIFF 2025, the Lightbox and surrounding festival venues buzzed with excitement for the festival’s 50th anniversary edition, one of the world’s most influential film events. The festival opened with the world premiere of John Candy: I Like Me, a documentary tribute to the legendary Canadian actor directed by Colin Hanks, marking a historic cinematic moment right here in Toronto.  TIFF draws global premieres, red‑carpet moments, filmmaker Q&As, star‑studded panels, and thousands of passionate attendees, making it a landmark event in North America’s cultural calendar.
