Belgian Beer Week — The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto
I photographed the Belgian Beer Week event at The Westin Harbour Castle, an annual celebration showcasing Belgium’s brewing heritage — a country known for more than 1,600 different beer styles, many crafted by centuries-old breweries and recognized by UNESCO as part of its cultural heritage.
Throughout the event, I documented the full experience:
• the featured beers and their award-winning labels,
• the presentations from Belgian brewers and sellers,
• and the key tasting moments as guests explored unique styles from Trappist ales to farmhouse saisons.
My photography focused on capturing both the atmosphere and the craftsmanship — the colour and texture of each pour, the interaction between exhibitors and attendees, and the celebratory moments surrounding the highlighted winning beers. The result is a visual story that reflects the richness, culture, and character of Belgian brewing brought to Toronto’s waterfront.
