I had the privilege of providing professional event photography in Toronto for the 29th edition of A Tasting of Wines from Italy™ at Roy Thomson Hall, organized by the Italian Trade Agency. This prestigious event brought together 93 Italian winemakers and Canadian trade professionals for an immersive exploration of Italy’s rich wine heritage. Guests engaged in walk-around tastings, expert-led masterclasses, and networking sessions, experiencing firsthand the depth and diversity of Italy’s wine regions. A highlight was the masterclass “Super Italians Outside the Box,” led by sommelier Michael Godel, which offered insights into Italy’s evolving IGT and IGP wines and demonstrated the artistry behind tasting, evaluating, and appreciating fine Italian wines.

 

As an event and corporate photographer, I captured the dynamic interactions, tasting techniques, and authentic moments of discovery, from swirling glasses, sampling aromas, and savouring sips to candid networking among participants. Professional photography ensures that events like this are documented elegantly and authentically, providing visual assets for marketing, social media, press coverage, and trade promotion, while highlighting the sensory experience of wine tasting and the cultural connection between Italy and the Canadian market.
