A Tasting of Wines from Italy™ – Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto

I had the privilege of photographing the 29th edition of A Tasting of Wines from Italy™, held at Roy Thomson Hall on November 4, 2024. Organized by the Italian Trade Agency, this prestigious event brought together 93 Italian winemakers and Canadian trade professionals for an immersive exploration of Italy’s rich wine heritage. Attendees engaged in walk-around tastings, masterclasses, and networking sessions, delving into Italy’s diverse wine regions. One standout masterclass, “Super Italians Outside the Box,” led by sommelier Michael Godel, offered insights into the evolution and current concepts of Italy’s IGT and IGP wines. 

 

My photography captured the dynamic interactions, the elegance of the venue, and the passion of both producers and participants, highlighting the event’s role in strengthening the bond between Italian wine culture and the Canadian market.
